A tale of winter dryness
Soothing dry chapped skin in winter.
SKIN
As the temperatures drop and the air becomes crisp, many of us face an all-too-common condition: dry skin. This pesky issue tends to flare up during the winter months when humidity levels plummet and our skin loses moisture more rapidly. I've noticed the skin on my hands starting to feel rough and catching on fabrics. In previous years I have even had a lot of cracking at the knuckles that are painful and bleed.
Fortunately, if you're suffering from dry skin this winter like I am, there are homeopathic solutions that can help you restore your skin's lost moisture. Petroleum is a top remedy for dry skin that is worse in the winter time. It is often taken in a 200c twice a day with good results in a few short days. I happen to have the 30c on hand so that is what I picked up to use. I am happy to report that the one small crack that was starting to develop has stopped hurting and started to heal since I began taking Petroleum this morning.
I have been using the Petroleum as needed when I would noticed my hands being excessively dry as the weather turned colder. I hadn't been using it regularly since it wasn't much of a bother, but when that crack showed up today I decided I should pay a little more attention and I will use it twice a day till "very much better," as Joette says.
Having several cracks on almost every knuckle isn't fun. I almost cringe just from remembering having to wash my hands in that condition. If you also suffer from dry cracking hands during the winter months consider Petroleum. The speed and effectiveness of homeopathic Petroleum often brings welcome relief. This is just one more of the many advantages I have found using homeopathy.
